THE GOLDEN LADDER
2 oz Bourbon
2 Muddled Figs
1 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Honey Syrup (see below)
Dash Angostura Bitters
Sprinkle Edible Gold Leaf
Make honey syrup (see below). Muddle figs in shaker. Add remaining ingredients and dry shake for 1 minute. Add ice and shake for another minute. Strain into glass. Using clean paint brush or knife, lightly transfer small flakes of gold leaf onto cocktail. Using toothpick, garnish top of glass with small cube of honeycomb.
1/2 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Water
Add both ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool before adding to cocktail.
