- Unique Runners for Your Aisle –

One of my favorite wedding elements has got to be the way the aisle looks as the bride makes her way towards her new husband. Candles, flowers, however she might choose to adorn those first steps as his new wife, it’s an part of the ceremony that should not be forgotten! Whether you choose a piece of fabric or petals, those steps will be photographed so why not take the opportunity to make them on something fun, beautiful and memorable!

Writing and print on aisles is popular – usually a monogram or the couple’s names. However, I find these particular runners super sweet, super artistic and incredibly personal. The top picture has their story as a couple, with pictures and words. And this one below, although it’s in Africaans, (which, I unfortunately am not fluent in today), the bride wrote a passage from the bible. Quote, bible passage or poem, I just love this runner!

Instead of a simple single-colored runner, give them a pop to match your venue or fit your theme. Find a unique print at your local fabric store – tie it in to your reception by also using it as a table runner!

Flowers – always a classic. But why not make them a bit more creative?! I’m positively obsessed with the color block aisle below!!

If you’re doing an indoor wedding, but, like me, have an outdoor girl’s heart, bring in some moss or grass to roll out as your runner. It ties the coziness of being inside to the rustic rawness of the outdoors, giving your guests the best of both!

And last but not least, this incredible work of art! I love the idea of keeping all other decor for the ceremony very simple and making the aisle the colorful pop and focal point!

So if you’re trying to come up with fun ways to bring a little something extra to your ceremony site, let the runner do the work and make sure that the aisle leading towards your husband is the most beautiful place you will ever walk!
