Serving honeycomb is a must when it comes to a charcuterie display during cocktail hour. There is not much better than delicious cheese topped with sweet honeycomb. You can showcase this sweet addition on your cake in edible for or simple and classy honeycomb pattern, or mix honey into your signature cocktail. I will leave you with one such cocktail, pictured above, that really caught my eye.

THE GOLDEN LADDER

2 oz Bourbon

2 Muddled Figs

1 oz Lemon Juice

1/2 oz Honey Syrup (see below)

Dash Angostura Bitters

Sprinkle Edible Gold Leaf

Honeycomb

Make honey syrup (see below). Muddle figs in shaker. Add remaining ingredients and dry shake for 1 minute. Add ice and shake for another minute. Strain into glass. Using clean paint brush or knife, lightly transfer small flakes of gold leaf onto cocktail. Using toothpick, garnish top of glass with small cube of honeycomb.

Honey Syrup

1/2 Cup Honey

1/2 Cup Water

Add both ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool before adding to cocktail.

Cheers!
