As we create design and floral proposals for our clients, we are behind the computer which is almost 100% pinterest dominated. I absolutely LOVE this part of my job. I get to design my client’s dream day in my head and put it on “paper”. However, after creating a proposal for a client, I cannot bring myself to look at one more pinterest board or find more photos to create interesting things to blog about. So, in light of my recent proposal going out the door (yehaw!), I am doing a pretty text heavy blog on wedding vows!
I love the idea of bride and groom both having individual and unique vows. Here are some great ideas that I have found over the years that I love. From movie quotes to poetry and art, these pieces of words are amazing for any wedding ceremony.
“His hello was the end of her endings. Her laugh was their first step down the aisle. His hand would be hers to hold forever. His forever was as simple as her smile. He said she was what was missing. She said instantly she knew. She was a question to be answered. And his answer was ‘I do.’”
“My dearest friend, If you don’t mind, I’d like to join you by your side. Where we could gaze into the stars, and sit together, now and forever. For it is plain as anyone could see, we’re simply meant to be.”
“The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.”
“I want to see you. Know your voice. Recognize you when you first come ’round the corner. Sense your scent when I come into a room you’ve just left. Know the lift of your heel, the glide of your foot. Become familiar with the way you purse your lips then let them part, just the slightest bit, when I lean in to your space and kiss you. I want to know the joy of how you whisper ‘more.’”
“I closed my mouth and spoke to you in a hundred silent ways.”
“I breathe you in and there it is again. My heart saying thank you for this whole life that brought me here to you.”
“It only took a moment to decide to love you, wildly with my whole heart and the thing that amazes me is that it really is as simple as that.”
“It’s not that I can’t live without you. It’s that I live so much with you that I don’t want to miss a bit of it.”
I am obsessed with Rumi and Brian Andreas. If you have not seen any of his story people drawings and designs you must. I hope you enjoyed these lovely quotes! Happy Thursday!
