As we prepare for an all white floral and decor theme this weekend at the Westin Riverfront Resort in Beaver Creek, I wanted to reflect on some of my all time favorite all white wedding day inspiration. Enjoy!Source1 Source2 Source3 Source4 Source5 Source6
Naturally my all white inspiration must begin with white flowers. I don’t see any reason why the entire wedding can’t be planned around these extra special blooms. We have been seeing some especially beautiful pure white ranunculus lately as you see in the top right and bottom left. Of course these beauties would look amazing along with other blooms, but I love the simplicity of an all white bouquet or a white boutonniere with just the smallest touch of a green leaf.
Combining all white blooms with a little greenery and placing them on a backdrop of natural wood really makes the flowers pop. For an outdoor wedding, our custom built Aspen Altar seen top left creates the perfect frame for showcasing huge white garden roses amidst clusters of variegated wedding ivy.
Although flowers are my go-to to create the prefect setting, there are tons of other playful options to add more interest to your white decor. The simplicity of a smoothly frosted all white cake can’t be beat, especially when you add an unexpected twist with a wild flower stem. Taking a step out of the traditional box, however, an all white theme shouldn’t limit your creativity. Cover all your sweet confections in white frosting or powered sugar, play with pattern and texture, hang white paper cranes or float huge white balloons with white floral streamers, the list goes on and on and on. In the end, the only thing that matters is that you feel like yourself and that you have fun, and the rest will just fall into place, all white or not.
